DESIGN PROCESS
Consistency in the design elements, such as font choice, color schemes, typography, and icons, was a crucial part to ensure a fresh and clean platform interface. The composition has to be visually pleasing and effortlessly adapt to company guidelines for optimal recognizability. Our prototyping efforts revealed that maintaining visual consistency across the platform not only enhanced the user experience but also conveyed professionalism and reliability.
USER FLOW
Visualizing and refining user flows forms the foundation of the platform. To create a seamless and user-centric digital experience we had to make sure that users can navigate the employment platform with ease, from creating profiles to searching for jobs and submitting applications. For new users, especially, clear user flows are essential. They help our users understand how to use the platform and what to expect, ultimately making the onboarding process more user-friendly.
PROTOTYPE
The iterative approach to prototyping became a cornerstone of our strategy. We learned that refining and evolving the prototype based on user feedback allowed us to make incremental improvements and fine-tune the platform over time. By creating low-fidelity prototypes before refining them based on user feedback, we were able to identify potential usability issues and gather essential feedback early on before significant development investments were made.
TESTING
Gathering user feedback was a cornerstone of our research process. Through surveys, interviews, and usability testing, we uncovered valuable insights that guided our decision-making and helped us fine-tune the user experience. Empowering users is pivotal. Providing users with the tools and knowledge they need to make informed decisions and accomplish their goals not only enhances their experience but also fosters trust and loyalty. Unnecessary or troublesome steps were made optional if possible.
LEARNINGS
Prototyping proved to be a powerful tool in this project to create a platform for users to navigate in and utilize efficiently. It allowed me to visualize concepts, gather early user feedback, and iterate quickly, reducing the risk of costly mistakes down the road. Striking the right balance between simplicity and functionality was key to ensure a high usability for this employment platform.
